Easy Applesauce

A crockpot and blender makes for an easy version of a classic applesauce.

Ingredients
  

  • 12-15 large apples of any variety, but Harrelsons are lovely
  • 1/4 cup water

Method
 

  1. Core and thinly slice the apples. Do not peel.
  2. Place the apples in a large crockpot
  3. Cook on low overnight.
  4. In the morning, use a slotted spoon and scoop out the apples into a blender. Blend on high.
  5. If you would like, place in sterilized pint jars. Use new 2 part lids. Process in steam or hot water bath for 20 minutes.
